White Pines, CA…The Friends of the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum is holding the Annual Logging Jamboree on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The museum is located adjacent to White Pines Lake and Park in White Pines, Near Arnold. Traffic will be restricted on Dunbar Road for the Logging Jamboree from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Our family attended the jamboree for the first time. We had no idea there was an entrance fee of ten dollars per individual. Our family outing cost $80 with tri tip sandwich, hamburger and shaved ice to watch a
group of individuals cut wood.

The best time of the whole summer, once Labor Day weekend is finally over! Every year locals dread the influx of crappy, disrespectful visitors to White Pines Lake! Trash left behind, graffiti all over by the dam, and lazy fisherman who leave fish hooks and debris near the shorelines! This lack of respect is not just on Labor Day weekend, it is all summer! If you think it is ok to trash a pretty area, don’t come up here! You are certainly not welcome!!! And to anybody who fishes here at any time, pick up your fishing line and hooks! They are dangerous to dogs and kids, and you are also not welcome! So glad to see the horde of crappy visitors leaving today!
