San Andreas, CA…Meet Yeezy (A057846), a neutered male Pit Bull mix, about 1.5 years and 71 pounds. Yeezy is a gentle, affectionate young dog with a big heart. Volunteers often laugh when he tries to climb into their laps—all 70+ pounds of him—because he just wants to be close. He thrives on attention, soaking up every pet, hug, and scratch he can get.
On leash, Yeezy is calm and steady, making him a pleasant companion for walks. His size and strength mean he’ll do best with an attentive handler, but his easygoing nature shines through as he strolls politely beside you.
Yeezy enjoys meeting new people and greets everyone with friendliness and enthusiasm. With other dogs, he can be a bit selective, but he’s already shown he can make friends when paired with the right match.
At the shelter, Yeezy keeps his space tidy and may have some housetraining, though no guarantees can be made. Already neutered, he is ready to go home right away. What he needs most is a loving family who will appreciate his sweet spirit and give him the chance to blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he’s meant to be.

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up to date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
The shelter is currently over 80% capacity, so adoption fees are reduced: just $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. Cats who arrive at the shelter already altered can be adopted for only $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, adopters age 55+ can adopt a pet over 5 years old for just $5.
Free Rabies Clinic, Saturday October 11: FOCAS is hosting its last free rabies vaccine and microchip clinic of the year on Saturday, October 11 , from 9-11:30 AM at the Government Center at 891 Mountain Ranch Rd. San Andreas. Dogs must be leashed, cats must be in a crate. Must be a Calaveras County resident.
