Jackson, CA…On Wednesday October 22, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Jackson Police responded to Argonaut High School regarding a 16-year-old male student who texted several students indicating he wanted to conduct acts of violence towards the student body.

The text was reported to school administrators who immediately contacted law enforcement. Officers contacted school administration and gathered evidence supporting the crime of uttering criminal threats, a felony. The suspect student was not currently at the school. Officers contacted the suspect at his residence and he was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to the Amador County Probation Department and released into their custody.
