Jamestown, CA…Late at night on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 (specific time is undetermined at this time), a 66-year-old, male motorist was driving a Yamaha off-highway vehicle on private property near Pulpit Rock Road in Jamestown, CA. For an unknown reason, the motorist allowed his Yamaha to drive down an embankment causing the driver to be ejected from the Yamaha and the vehicle landed on top of the driver causing life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash. The motorist was not wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash. The identity of the driver will be released by the Tuolumne County Coroner’s office once the next of kin has been notified.
