Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! A cold crisp day is ahead with a high of 22F suggested and a wind chill that will feel like 0F for most of the day.
Snow conditions should stay really good with the cold temps despite some cloud cover yesterday which brought some light snowfall to freshen things up a bit.
A classic ENE wind will be in effect today averaging in the teens and gusting into the 20″s so if yer headed out to play in out winter wonderland dress warm as you will surely feel the chill of the wind playing its hand today.
Sunny weather is in the mix today and looks to stick around into next Tuesday where some increasing clouds show face but high pressure looks to dominate the NorCal region for at least the next 7-10days.
Skating and Classic skiing are in top form currently at the BVAC Nordic Center so I highly recommend checking out the trail system today and for that matter anytime! Conditions on the mountain are equally good with both on and off-piste skiing and riding giving everyone smiles across the miles from summit to base.
Backcountry conditions are prime for touring as the avalanche hazards are lowering and currently “moderate”, but please be diligent in your info gathering for a successful day out in the side or backcountry today and throughout the next week. Check the links below for more information.
Peace Out,
Mattly
