Copperopolis, CA…The Copperopolis Community Center is sponsoring their 39th Annual First Taste of the Year on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The event will be at the Copperopolis Armory from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, 695 Main St in Copperopolis. This will be an indoor event.

Calaveras and its surrounding Counties are fortunate to be the home of a bounty of wonderful wineries who have been invited to showcase their wines. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served as well as raffle opportunities.

We are very pleased to announce Michael Kelly will be returning for the tasting. Michael is a local wine collector and aficionado, nationally and internationally published wine writer and wine judge. Many of you may know of Michael through his participation/hosting local wine events. Michael will be writing about the wines at this event and meeting with participating winemakers and tasters.
