Angels Camp, CA…The EOD Team has concluded their onsite investigation. The suspected explosive materials were collected and safely transported to an offsite location for a safe and proper disposal.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our EOD partners from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office and Lodi Police Department for assisting us with this case.
This case remains open as Calaveras County Sheriff’s Detectives continue to investigate.

EOD Responds to Explosives Investigation in Angels Camp
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a call for service involving the discovery of suspected explosive materials in the 3000 block of Rainbow Way in Angels Camp.
Deputies responded to the location and confirmed the presence of items believed to be explosive in nature.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team is on scene to safely assess and secure the materials. Currently, there is no current threat to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time. Additional updates will become available as the investigation concludes.
