Make a Dash to Adopt Nash Today!!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Nash (A060236), a neutered male German Shepherd mix, about 10 months old and weighing 41 pounds. Nash was found straying in Angels Camp, and while his past is unknown, it’s clear he has had some positive training and handling. He’s a bright, energetic young dog who makes an immediate impression with his enthusiasm for life and his eagerness to engage.

At just 10 months old, Nash is fully in his puppy era—playful, animated, and always ready for action. He loves chasing balls, carrying sticks, and exploring the world at top speed. Beneath all that exuberance is a sweet, people-focused temperament. He already knows “sit” and “down,” plays fetch enthusiastically, and watches closely for cues from his handler, especially if a treat might be involved.

Like many adolescent dogs, Nash is still polishing his leash manners. He can get excited and occasionally jumps or grabs at the leash, but he responds to correction and is very trainable. With structure, exercise, and consistency, he’s likely to mature into a loyal and well-mannered companion.

Nash would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, play, and continued training. A canine companion could be a wonderful outlet for his energy, as he has been happy to meet every dog he’s encountered so far. For someone ready to guide a smart young shepherd mix through his teenage phase, Nash offers affection, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart.
