Jackson, CA…On Saturday February 21, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m. the Jackson Police Department responded to an area of the Jackson Creek behind the Gordon Hill Flower Shop and Davenport Properties for a possible body in the water. Upon arrival, officers located a partially dressed deceased male. The body was recovered from the water and transported to Daneris Mortuary.

The male subject has been identified, which is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification. The cause of death is pending autopsy results. This is an active on-going investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Jackson Police Department at (209) 223-1771.
