San Andreas, CA…Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. During American Heart Month in February, Mark Twain Medical Center offers no-cost testing to help local women monitor their heart health.
Make time any weekday in February for a comprehensive lipid panel test. It can help identify chronic and new conditions like cholesterol numbers and other risk factors. It’s simple. To get your 2026 no-cost lipid panel test, bring your photo ID to the MTMC Laboratory Monday through Friday from 7 am to 1 pm. You must start fasting 12 hours prior to your visit for accurate results.
This program is for residents of Calaveras County only and is made possible by funding from Soroptimist International of Calaveras County as part of their commitment to women’s health.

It’s so easy to put off health checks, but catching things early makes all the difference. It kinda reminds me of playing doodle baseball – you gotta time your swing perfectly to hit a home run. Sometimes you strike out, but each try teaches you something new about the timing. Same with this – it might seem like a small effort, but getting that lipid panel could be a game changer for your health in the long run. Thanks for sharing!
That’s fantastic that Mark Twain Medical Center is offering these no-cost lipid panel tests for women in Calaveras County! Heart health is so important, and it’s great to see them prioritizing it. Fasting for 12 hours can be a bit of a challenge, though! I always find that focusing on something mentally stimulating helps me get through it. You know, like a good game of sudoku. Really gets my mind off things and keeps me sharp.
What a wonderful idea by Mark Twain Medical Center to encourage heart health with free testing! It is critical that communities geometry online emphasize accessible healthcare, particularly during Heart Month. This initiative not only increases awareness, but also enables people to take control of their cardiovascular health.
