Bradley Celestino Pecchenino 1929 – 2026 

Angels Camp, CA…Bradley Celestino Pecchenino  January 16, 1929- March 10, 2026.  Bradley Celestino Pecchenino passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the age of 97 in Merced, California.  He was born in Sonora, California to Celestino and Lillian Pecchenino.  After graduating from college,  Bradley  was drafted  into the US Army in 1950. Bradley was a Korean War Combat Veteran achieving the rank of sergeant First Class in the Second Infantry Battalion. Bradley was a squad leader on the front lines for two years.

He met the love of his life Wilma Jean Riedel and they married in 1953. Brad and Wilma were long time residents of Angels Camp. They operated  Brad’s Quality Meats in Altaville for over 40 years.  They raised their family in Angels and were very active in the community, always looking to help out where needed.  His hobbies included gardening, woodworking, racing homing pigeons.  He enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He relocated to Merced about 15 years ago where he became an avid reader enjoying Louis Lamour stories and many westerns and mysteries.

 

We are grateful to his caregivers Jennett, Alma, Lupe, Eleanor and Eva for their enduring love and outstanding care in recent years.  Thanks to Hinds Hospice for their expertise.

He is survived by his brother Leonhardt and sister Celestine (Sheldon) and sons Bart (Julie), Dominic (Marianne), and Garth (Michelle) and his 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary Recited at 1030 followed by  Mass of Christian Burial  to celebrate Bradley’s life at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church Church Angels Camp March 21st at 10:30 am and a reception to follow at  the Parish Hall.
