Every Family Could Use Another Tater! Take Tater Bug Home Today!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Tater Bug (A060809), a male Australian Shepherd mix, about 2 years old and weighing 40 pounds. Tater Bug is a lively, joyful dog with a personality that arrives at full speed. With his expressive ears, bright eyes, and nonstop enthusiasm, he has quickly become one of the shelter’s resident comedians. He’s the kind of dog who makes people laugh without even trying.

Although estimated to be around 2 years old, Tater Bug still has plenty of puppy energy and excitement about life. He absolutely loves attention and greets people with wiggly enthusiasm, often popping up for hugs and closeness. He’s affectionate, social, and eager to be involved in whatever is happening around him.

Tater Bug is also wonderfully playful and seems genuinely interested in making dog friends. Whenever he spots another dog, he perks right up and wants to say hello. Staff expect he’ll enjoy canine companionship. His medium size makes him easy to handle, while his fun-loving spirit gives him a larger-than-life presence.

On walks and around the shelter, Tater Bug shows all the signs of a dog who will thrive with continued structure and training. He’s energetic and still polishing his manners, but he clearly enjoys human interaction and wants to connect. He keeps his kennel tidy, which is a promising sign for housetraining.

Tater Bug would do best with an active family ready to embrace his goofy charm, youthful energy, and affectionate personality. For the right home, he’s likely to become both a loyal companion and a daily source of entertainment.
