Arnold, CA…The Creek Critters program at Calaveras Big Trees State Park is a highly popular, hands-on educational event where kids explore Beaver Creek to discover aquatic insects and learn about watershed ecosystems.

Event Details
Location: Beaver Creek Picnic Area (a short walk from the main picnic tables).

Schedule: Tuesday and Saturday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Seasonality: Programs run through the spring and late summer, kicking off Memorial Day weekend.
What to Bring: Water shoes or sandals, as you will be wading into the shallow water with plastic cups to catch and examine the bugs
