Sonora, CA…On 06/20/26, the Modesto Police Department made the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office aware of allegations involving a Modesto Police Department Officer related to an off-duty domestic violence incident that occurred in Tuolumne County in March 2026.

Upon receiving the information from the Modesto Police Department, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office initiated an independent criminal investigation.

As a result of that investigation, Officer Solomon Foketi, a four-year veteran of the Modesto Police Department, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, false imprisonment, and misdemeanor domestic violence. Foketi was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
