Gann Fire Evacuation Warnings Cross Hwy 4 to South and Hwy 49 to the East

San Andreas, CA…Gann Fire – Community Update, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) is continuing to monitor the Gann Fire, which originated near Hogan Dam Road and Gann Road, south of New Hogan Lake.

As of approximately 10:59 A.M., the fire is estimated at approximately 3,759 acres.
There are several updated EVACUATION WARNING ZONES, which are also reflected in Genasys:

Evacuation Center:

This evacuation center is available for displaced residents and their domesticated animals. Volunteers with the American Red Cross are on scene providing assistance.
Livestock Evacuation & Information:

• The Amador County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with livestock evacuation and transportation in partnership with OES. If you need assistance with transporting livestock, please contact 209-419-2000. The address where livestock will be taken is Laughton Ranch, located at 90 Clinton Road in Jackson. We sincerely thank the Amador County personnel for their assistance during this time.
Public Information:
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office urges all residents to remain prepared and to follow evacuation orders and instructions from emergency personnel.
We also remind anyone currently in an affected zone, including those using day-use areas or fishing along shorelines, to leave immediately. Please use extreme caution when entering or exiting affected zones, as fire personnel, emergency responders, and equipment continue operating in these areas.
If you feel your safety is at risk, do not delay in evacuating. If you require assistance evacuating, call 9-1-1 immediately. For non-emergency assistance, contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at 209-754-6500.
