Murphys, CA…The Pennsylvania Gulch Road Sidewalk project has encountered challenges aligning the planned design with existing site conditions on Pennsylvania Gulch Road.As a result, construction will continue into next week and will overlap with the start of the school year.
To help minimize impacts on families and students, the contractor will limit work hours to between 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00PM, avoiding school pick-up and drop-off times.Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.
Sidewalk access will remain closed for the duration of construction.We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as the County’s construction crews work to complete the project.For questions or concerns, please contact Calaveras County Public Works at (209) 754-6401.
