Even Whale Dwellers Can See Jonah is Perfect for Your Family!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Jonah (A061186), a male German Shepherd, about 2 years old and weighing 46 pounds. Jonah is the kind of dog who catches your eye before you’ve even had a chance to meet him. His striking gaze—thanks to two differently colored eyes—gives him an unforgettable look. But spend a little time with Jonah and you’ll quickly discover that his personality is every bit as appealing as his handsome appearance.

Sweet-tempered and friendly, Jonah enjoys meeting new people and seems to make friends easily. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming and has a gentle manner that makes him a pleasure to spend time with. He also takes treats politely and gently, always a nice quality in a dog eager to learn.

Jonah has done exceptionally well with other dogs at the shelter, remaining friendly even around dogs that are more reactive or uncertain themselves. He’s also a smart fellow who already knows “sit,” “down,” and “shake.” He does pull on leash and will benefit from continued practice, but at just 2 years old, he has plenty of time to polish his manners and seems well equipped to learn.

With his intelligence, friendly disposition, and ability to get along with both people and other dogs, Jonah has all the makings of a wonderful companion. He’s young enough for plenty of adventures but old enough to have left much of the puppy chaos behind. For someone looking for a smart, sociable dog to become part of the family, those extraordinary eyes may be just the beginning of what there is to love about Jonah.
