Medical Center Awards Scholarships

San Andreas, CA…On behalf of their Volunteers, the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation awarded $1000 scholarships to two employees to help them continue their educations in the field of healthcare.

Gary Arvin, a MRI Technician in the Radiology Department at Mark Twain is currently working on completion of a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. Alison Epperly, a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist is employed at Mark Twain’s Arnold Clinic and is studying to become a Registered Nurse.
The applicant must be a qualified Calaveras County resident, Mark Twain Medical Center employee, or family member of an employee, who wishes to further his or her career field of Nursing or Medical Technology.
The Volunteer group donates thousands of hours each year serving at Mark Twain Medical Center. They also make craft items and have special sales during the year to fund their scholarships.
They are known in the community as an example of Humankindness.
The Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation is a (501)C3 non-profit whose mission is to support the hospital in its effort to provide excellence in health care for the community.
