Arnold, CA…The latest developments from Apple, and other computer related topics, will be on the agenda when the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) has its monthly meeting Tuesday, October 11 beginning at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4.
Seth Summersett, a professional computer programmer and one of SMUG’s major presenters, will take members on an exploration of the new macOS Sierra operating system, including an introduction to Siri. He will also describe the new iPhone 7 and AirPods, the new features of Apple Watch, and other items of interest.
An important aspect of SMUG meetings is the opportunity to ask questions about any phase of the Apple computer experience.
SMUG meets the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to everyone and there is no charge to attend. The organization exists to keep Mac users abreast of the latest developments and to address the nagging questions that arise from time to time. Its goal is to take the mystery out of computers and to enable members to take advantage of all the features their Macs possess.
SMUG was founded in 1995 and is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. Annual dues are $15. For more information visit the SMUG website at www.SierraMacintoshUsersGroup.org or call 795-3798 or 728-9012.
