A records check of the 20 year old driver Jonathan Ross from Sonora and passengers, 23 year old Timothy Reis from Stockton and 25 year old Brett Schmidt from Groveland showed all three on searchable probation. During a search of the vehicle 5 pounds of marijuana (approximately 3 pounds of bud), was found hidden inside a speaker box, case of beer and a garbage bag. The three admitted to stealing it from Ross’ 90 year old grandfather who suffers from cancer and were going to sell it.

The three were arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for selling or transporting marijuana, possession of marijuana or hashish for sale, criminal conspiracy, burglary, and transportation of marijuana.
Schmidt had an additional charge of a violation of post release community supervision.
