Jenny Lind, CA…On 12/27/16 at approximately 11:55 PM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Station in Jenny Lind for a gunshot victim. The victim was transported to the fire station by a possible witness to the shooting. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a 31 year old male who had sustained multiple gunshot injuries to his lower abdomen. The victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Detectives are securing a search warrant to a residence located on the 9000 block of Scenic Valley Drive in Jenny Lind. Jason Robert William McVey (36) of Jenny Lind, was located at the Scenic Valley Drive residence and was subsequently arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, Bail $ 35,000. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time pending notification to his next of kin. Additional information will be released at a later time.
Is there any chance that the law will do what they should have done originally? That is, for the safety of society keep felons separated from law abiding citizens. That’s what jail should be for. Why do they get 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. etc. etc. chances? It’s absurd to let them out to victimize again and again and again.
All people who have felons are bad … Who are you to say that .. You are not god..
