Truckee, CA….From Truckee CHP….”In Truckee we are ready for anything. Today Sgt. Fisher located this fawn stuck in a drainage ditch along I-80. The poor fawns leg had gotten stuck in a drain and water runoff from this mornings thunderstorm was running over the fawn.

Sgt. Fisher went above the call of duty, going into to ditch freeing the animal. Helping it to his vehicle where he transported it to the veterinary hospital.

The fawn has since been named “Star.”
