Valley Springs, CA…On December 11, 2017, at approximately 1310 hours, Anderson was parked at a work site on Lower Lake View Road, north of Lake View Road in Burson. While transferring his trailer’s gravel box into the dump bed of his truck, the truck began to roll forward. Anderson ran along side of the truck and attempted to regain control. As he was attempting to climb into the truck, he fell to the ground and was subsequently ran over by the truck. Anderson sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Since this collision involved a work site fatality and a commercial vehicle, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) as well as the CHP Valley Division Commercial Unit were notified and responded to the scene.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.
