Bear Valley, CA…We just spoke with the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office in Bear Valley and search continues for Thomas Mullarkey who was reported missing Wednesday evening. The search efforts centered on possible out of bounds areas yesterday and today they are are refocusing their efforts in the in bounds areas. There are National Guard helicopters at Bear Valley now and they will join the search when visibility improves. They arrived yesterday and the crews and their craft stayed in Bear Valley last night.
Local search teams from Alpine County Search & Rescue, Calaveras County Search & Rescue and others are still looking for 65 year old Thomas Mullarkey, who failed to return after his ski trip yesterday. He is described as being 5′, 8″ tall and 150lbs with Blue Eyes and Gray hair. He is repoted to be an excellent skier and in good health.
