Burson, CA…On 5-3-18 members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 5000 block of Southworth Road in Burson for illegal marijuana cultivation. On this 5 acre parcel with a single story residence, investigators found numerous cargo containers and enclosed structures that had been converted for growing marijuana indoors. Several large industrial sized generators were running to power many of the grow rooms. These generators were enclosed in structures with insulation and foam padding around the interior walls. Although the interior of the residence itself did not contain any growing marijuana, the entire front yard surrounding an empty in ground pool had several thousand marijuana plants growing in pots.
A total of 4,834 marijuana plants were eradicated and 3 subjects arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation (11358(c)H&S, 11358(d)(3)(b)H&S, 11358(d)(3)(c)H&S), maintaining a drug house (11366H&S), and criminal conspiracy (182PC). All three subjects were booked into the Calaveras County Jail with $50,000 bail:
Yi Lin (age 58) of Marlton, New Jersey
Ni Kong (age 57) of New York, New York
Ni Shao (age 51) of Seattle, Washington
*Shao originally provided the name and identification of Hongde Zheng but after fingerprinting, Shao’s identity was confirmed that he is a previously deported subject from being in the United States illegally and has an active warrant for burglary out of Newport Beach, CA.
