Valley Springs, CA…Updated 5/30/18 5:40pm. On 5-28-18 at about 1425 hours a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office deputy took a report for a missing juvenile from a residence in the 8000 block of Baldwin Street in Valley Springs. It was reported to the Sheriff’s Office that 15 year old Samantha Roberts was last seen at her residence in Valley Springs the night before on 5-27-18 around 9:00pm. A back pack and some of Samantha’s clothing is missing as well. At the time of the initial report, Roberts was listed as a voluntary or at-will missing person and considered a possible runaway juvenile. Family and friends have shared her photograph and request to locate via social media. Since then, the Sheriff’s Office has received several reports that Samantha may have been seen accompanied by an adult Caucasian male along the Highway 4 corridor from Murphys to east of Arnold. Deputies are following up on possible sightings, including collecting video surveillance and checking known locations in the area where young adults typically frequent. At this time, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the missing 15 year old female, Samantha Roberts (pictures attached). She is described as a white female with red hair and blue eyes, height 4’11”, weight 165lbs.

The Sheriff’s Office reported earlier regarding a report that Samantha was possibly seen at the Murphys Shell Station on Monday (5/28/18) at 2:12 pm getting into a newer model gray or silver four door SUV with a roof rack and panoramic sunroofs, possibly a 2018 Honda CRV or Pilot. A picture of that car was released and since then the occupants of that car have spoken to detectives who confirmed it was not the missing juvenile. Deputies continue to conduct follow-up on any potential leads..
