Firefighters Make Quick Work of Gillam Fire in Paloma Area ~ Chip Dingman

Paloma, CA…At about 8pm tonight firefighters were dispatched to a reported vegetation fire on Paloma Rd & Gillam Rd. The first on scene engine reported a vegetation fire of about 3 acres in size moving uphill with a moderate rate of spread, with one structure threatened. Firefighters quickly made access to the fire with the assistance of one copter making water drops were able to stop the forward progress. Firefighters contained the fire to 9.6 acres
