Valley Springs, CA…Calaveras Consolidated Firefighters, CalFire & San Andreas Fire, responded to Structure Fire in a one-story single family dwelling in Rancho Calaveras last night. Firefighters arrived on scene and reported a working fire in the kitchen and dining room. An aggressive attack was made and the fire was confined to the area of origin. There was no extension into the attic. The Structure sustained moderate smoke damage inside

No one was home at the time of the fire. The call came in at 1925 hours. Firefighters remained on scene for over 3 hours doing salvage and overhaul.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
