Guy deserved it . would have done the same thing. Your campground is your domicile. Treat it like your house.

It was 2 am. The bar at the resort had just closed. I’ll bet the guy was drunk and entered the wrong tent thinking it was his tent. Perhaps if the man in the tent wasn’t so quick to use a gun, it would have worked out without a death. I’ve camped in that campground many, many times. As a gun owner, it is my opinion that no one needs to be keeping a gun in their tent. The is no crime there and the bears rarely are around and do not come into the campgrounds or even raid the trash cans at the resort.

    Jeffrey, You are so right!!!
Tim was not the kind of man who would attack a woman in the dark of night, in a tent, at 2 in the morning!! Tim would have been so sorry and so embarrassed to find himself in the wrong tent on top of an unknown woman who was screaming for help.
He would have been absolutely mortified!….if he hadn’t been shot and killed!!
Tim was the kind of man who could drink too much when camping and possibly wander into the wrong tent on the way back from the outhouse. Having a gun around makes it so easy to act fast and “ask questions later.”
Tim was a sweet kind gentle man. I’m so sorry for his family and friends (of which he had many).
