Murphys, CA…Mary Hansen was driving her BMW westbound on State Route 4 west of Brice Station Road, at approximately 55 miles per hour. The BMW driver for an unknown reason, unsafely turned the 2019 BMW to the right traveling off the roadway and onto the north shoulder of State Route 4. The vehicle continued on the north shoulder in a westerly direction until the right front of the BMW struck two trees. This impact caused the vehicle to veer to the left back into the roadway of State Route 4. The BMW came to rest blocking both lanes of traffic.

She sustained major injuries and was transported by Air Ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Passenger John Hansen sustained major injuries and was transported by Air Ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Alcohol and/or Drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.
