Approximately 300 Amazon Parcels Stolen from Pioneer Post Office

Pioneer, CA…From the Amador Sheriff’s Office…”On December 2, 2019, a deputy responded to the Pioneer Post Office for the report of a theft of approximately 300 parcels. When the deputy arrived at the Post Office, the Post Master said 297 parcels were stolen from four pallets left behind the building. The Post Master informed the deputy that the merchandise was from Amazon.

The Post Master said that a courier service for Amazon mistakenly delivered the merchandise to the Pioneer Post Office on Sunday (12/1/2019). Per the Post Master, the Pioneer Post Office is not staffed on Sundays and all merchandise is supposed to be delivered to the Jackson Post Office. Since the Post Office had not taken possession of the parcels, victim information was not available at this time. The Post Master is working to identify victims. The Pioneer Post Office will also be contacting the Amazon courier service to identify the driver.

The deputy contacted the courier service and Amazon, but was not provided with any details about the courier service driver or the merchandise.

If you have recently ordered items through Amazon and your order is late, please contact Amazon to enquire about the status of your order(s).”
