Introduction to Vegetable Gardening in the Foothills Class is Feb 1

Jackson, CA…“Introduction to Vegetable Gardening in the Foothills” class on February 1, 2020. Growing your own vegetables can be fulfilling and downright tasty! Learn what vegetables grow well in the foothills and how best to care for them. Join the UCCE Master Gardeners of Amador County for their free Public Education class, “Introduction to Vegetable Gardening in the Foothills” on Saturday, February 1, 2020. The many micro-climates, in the foothills, challenge gardeners with variations in temperature, water needs, soil quality and pests. This class will provide a great basis for planning and cultivating a productive and vibrant vegetable garden. Handouts will be provided. This class is free and open to the public.

Reservations are not required. All classes are held in the GSA Building at 12200-B Airport Rd. in Jackson from 9 a.m. until Noon.

    You might check out our neighborhood distributed farm and current experience winter cropping, into field and four greenhouses, about 15 minutes north of Sheep Ranch, CA, between 3000-3300 ft.
