…A High Impact Late Season Winter Storm to bring Mountain
Travel Impacts This Weekend into Early Next Week…

.A pair of Pacific systems are set to arrive this weekend
bringing significant late season snowfall to the mountains. The
initial storm arriving on Saturday will bring periods of snow to
areas between 4,000 and 5,000 feet. Expected amounts will range
from 6 to 12 inches ahead of a stronger system set to drop
heavier snowfall on Sunday. An additional 1 to 2 feet of snow is
expected leading to periods of mountain travel impacts. For those
who must travel, expect chain controls, possible road closures,
snow-covered roads, poor visibility, and significant travel
delays. Snow showers continue into Monday with snow levels
lowering down to 3,000 to 4,000 feet. Storm total snow amounts
will likely range from 1 to 3 feet, locally over 4 feet possible.
