Columbia, CA…The Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD or District) hired Njirich Construction to replace a 180 lineal feet section of sewer main on Parrotts Ferry Road in Columbia, starting Wednesday, May 6th. This sewer main replacement project is identified in the District’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), is estimated to cost approximately $40,000 and consists of installing a manhole, approximately 160 lineal feet of four inch sewer pipeline and 20 lineal feet of eight inch sewer pipeline.
All work and traffic controls will be in place between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM from Wednesday, May 6th to Friday, May 8th on Parrotts Ferry Road between Church Street and Airport Road. Motorists can expect 10 minute traffic delays with one-way traffic controls in place, and are asked to avoid the area if possible.
TUD appreciates the community’s cooperation and support as it works hard to improve the District’s collection sewer system, and asks motorists to drive with caution through the project construction zone.
