Don Pedro, CA…Yesterday, just after 5pm, deputies assigned to our boating division were dispatched to a drowning at Don Pedro lake near the Moccasin boat launch. Upon arrival, deputies assisted in providing aid to the 21-year-old male until medical professionals arrived on scene. The victim was later air lifted to an out of county hospital for further treatment.

Prior to deputies responding, friends and bystanders in the area witnessed the victim drown. They quickly reacted by pulling the victim to safety and providing CPR. We want to express our gratitude to those on scene for acting with courage and focus in such a critical time.
