Groveland, CA…On July 29, 2020, at approximately 2:50pm, a 75-year-old male resident of Groveland was driving his 2009 Toyota Pickup westbound on Ferretti Road, west of Otter Court at approximately 35-40 miles per hour. For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the north shoulder and collided into a tree. The driver was extricated from the vehicle by other motorist and life saving measures were performed. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

It was determined he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and Alcohol nor Drugs are not suspected to be a factor.

The identity of the driver is being withheld pending family notification. This traffic collision is still under investigation.
