Celebrate Calaveras! Builds Momentum

San Andreas, CA…Momentum is building for Celebrate Calaveras! – the social media movement introduced in mid-July by Mark Twain Medical Center. “We see lots of folks liking, sharing and commenting on our MTMC Facebook postings featuring the county’s natural beauty, rich history and unmatched recreation opportunities,” notes Doug Archer, MTMC President and CEO. “And most gratifying is the fact that many have joined the movement by submitting their photos of favorite locations, activities and special times in Calaveras County.

He adds, “One in particular really captures this campaign’s purpose – to showcase the many visual
surprises we see routinely in this unique place where we live and work.”

“Our August 15 Celebrate Calaveras! Facebook post was of a dramatic sunburst through the branches
of a towering tree. The dramatic scene was captured by Katherine Decker in the parking lot at
Government Center in San Andreas. It really points out the fact that there is natural beauty surrounding
us everywhere and truly part of our everyday routine.”

“Celebrate Calaveras! has added meaning these days,” Archer continues, “as we consider how lucky we
are to live in such a unique, resilient community during these challenging times.”

“Join the fun and Celebrate Calaveras! in your own way.”

Submit photos with a brief caption to Robert.Lema@DignityHealth and watch for it to appear on the
