Sonora, CA…Yesterday morning just before 6 am, a caller reported her apartment in Sonora was being broken into. The caller was not home but was messaged by a neighbor witnessing the crime. Deputies were on scene within minutes and could see flashlights moving from within the apartment. As a man, later identified as 28-year-old Mickey Ringer of Sonora, appeared in the doorway, deputies gave commands to exit the apartment. Initially hesitant to comply, Mickey and 35-year-old Bonnie Palmer of Sonora exited the apartment.
Both Mickey and Bonnie were taken into custody and searched. The search uncovered items belonging to the residents of the apartment, a large amount of methamphetamine and cash separated in several denominations. Mickey was arrested for burglary, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Bonnie was arrested for the same charges with an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
