2020 CALAVERAS COUNTY VIRTUAL GRAPE STOMP: BACKYARD EDITION

Registration is now open for the Calaveras County Virtual Grape Stomp Event set to take place using Zoom Online Event Services on Sunday, September 27th at 11:00-5:00 PDT! The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance is excited to host this first of its kind community event and fundraiser. Now’s the time to get your team connected and costumes ready. The REGISTRATION DEADLINE has been extended to August 31st! 

The registration entry fee is $120 per team of two and includes advance access to the Virtual Grape Stomp Auction. The number of stomp teams is limited to 400 so be sure to get your teams registered at the same time (if stomping in the same backyard). VIRTUAL GRAPE STOMP KITS WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP AT THE CWA WINE INFO CENTER IN MURPHYS, CA ON 9/25 OR 9/26. Kits weigh about 27 pounds and include the Grape Stomp bucket, 25 pounds of Grapes, Measuring Devices, 1-Day Tasting Passes ($40 value) for each Adult Stomper, Rules Sheet and some Surprises! Assistance is available with loading kits in car outside of Wine Info Center. Choice of kit pickup date is included in the registration form. Starting times will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and the schedules will be provided one week prior to the event. Each stomp heat will last 3 minutes and the virtual event time-slot is 30 minutes (warm up, posting of scores, etc.)  As a non-profit organization, this event is one of our annual fundraisers and entry fees are non-refundable.

All teams must check in online using the Zoom Meeting Link at least 15 minutes before their scheduled starting time. We want to ensure that all teams have the opportunity to compete and appreciate you being on time. NOTE: Zoom Online Meeting & Recording instructions will be sent in registration confirmation email with link to watch video tutorial. For purpose of this event, a SmartPhone or Tablet is recommended to join the Zoom Meeting and Record the Stomp.

All starting times and advance auction access link will be emailed one week in advance of the event and also posted at www.CalaverasWines.org. Check the website and your email frequently for updates. The Virtual Grape Stomp Auction supports Calaveras County community groups as well as high school scholarships – your contributions are appreciated.
