Sonora, CA…Tuolumne County is reporting 109 new COVID-19 cases on December 14th; 34 are community cases, including one who is a resident of local care facility. Seventy-five of the new cases are Sierra Conservation Center inmates. Three people have been discharged from the hospital and 26 individuals have been released from isolation. Two individuals have been transferred to their county of residence and this is reflected on our dashboard.

We are sad to report two additional deaths today; a female in her 70s and a female in her 60s. The Public Health team sends its condolences to the families and friends of the individuals.
Tuolumne County and the San Joaquin Valley Region continue to meet the criteria (less than 15% of ICU beds available) to activate the Regional Stay at Home Order. Today, our region is reported as having 0% ICU bed availability. Please stay home, wear a mask, wash your hands, limit your exposure, and get tested! The State has changed a process within the infectious disease reporting system CalREDIE, which may cause some delays in our case reporting. Thank you for your patience during this transition.
The Public Health team continues to work on the COVID-19 vaccination distribution plan and implementation. People with concerns about new or worsening symptoms can also call the Adventist Health Sonora COVID-19 Triage Line at 209-536-5166 to speak to a nurse or other clinician.
