Only 17 New Covid Cases Reported in Tuolumne County Today

Sonora, CA…Tuolumne County is reporting 14 new community cases and three Sierra Conservation Center inmate cases, for a total of 17 new cases today. All of the new community cases are asked to isolate at home. One hospitalized individual has been discharged and released from isolation and seven previously isolated individuals have been released from isolation. Two SCC inmates are still hospitalized although they are not reflected in the number of hospitalized in the Data Dashboard.

New Blueprint tier information was released today. The update shows a case rate of 38.5 cases per 100,000 population and 7-day average test positivity rate of 10.4%. These metrics represent a slight improvement over last week. We continue to be impacted by the Regional Stay Home Order due to the surge in hospitalizations and the impact on ICU bed availability. The San Joaquin Valley Region, which includes Tuolumne County, continues to report 0% ICU availability.
