Calaveras County Moves Into State’s Less Restrictive Orange Tier!

San Andreas, CA…This morning Calaveras County moved from the more restrictive “Red” tier to the less restrictive “Orange” tier. This less restrictive tier allows for more business activities to resume or expand, such as indoor dining at 50% capacity or 200 people, whichever is fewer; or a capacity increase up to 75% if all guests show proof of negative test or full vaccination. Visit Blueprint for a Safer Economy at https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/ to find specific business information and the county’s latest status. The changes come as COVID-19 cases decrease and vaccination increases.

Calaveras Public Health continues to urge caution and encourages people to get vaccinated and take the necessary steps to prevent being exposed to the virus. To make an appointment for a vaccination or find out more information for walk-in vaccination options, please visit: https://covid19.calaverasgov.us/

To continue lowering risk levels, protect yourself and others from COVID-19. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus:
 Wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth when you leave home, including public
places and anywhere you will be around people who do not live with you.
 Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
 Stay at least 6 feet away from other people.
 Stay home if you are sick.
 Avoid gatherings.

The County is doing its best to stay on top of the changes and will keep the business community updated on the latest details. Please continue to act responsibly with safety as the top priority for our community and your employees.
