San Andreas, CA…Earlier this year, Calaveras County Water District identified a savings opportunity for over 150 taxpayers in the Fly-In Acres and Dalee/ Cassidy Assessments Districts by refunding (refinancing) outstanding bonds at lower interest, all while maintain the existing length of debt repayment. The total savings is approximately $794,000. Property owners in these areas can look forward to a lower tax bill starting this year.
The average Fly-In Acres bill reduction will be $231 per year while the Dalee/Cassidy bill will see a reduction as much as $297 per year. Calaveras County Water District continues to look for cost savings wherever possible, helping its rate payers and taxpayers in our county.
