Alpine County, CA… – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct one-way traffic control at various locations this week in Alpine County.

Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

• Crews will perform crack sealing operations from Red Lake Road to the beginning of the passing lane near Red Lake from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 to Thursday, June 10, and from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021.

• Crews will conduct bridge work between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Monday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the following locations:

o Silver Creek Bridge on Route 4 between the Route 4/89 junction and Ebbetts Pass.

o West Fork Carson River Bridge (post miles 14.7 and 16.2) on Route 88 between Picketts Junction and Woodfords.

o Markleeville Creek Bridge on Route 89 in Markleeville.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays at these locations and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
