Sonora, CA…A shout out to Rose Wolf Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center! On Friday, a resident of North Stewart Street called in a baby bird that seemed to be having troubles. Officers arrived and discovered the bird was a baby turkey (or poult). After giving the little feller some water, we called out Rose Wolf Wildlife Rescue, who responded quickly and took the poult for further care.
Rose Wolf Wildlife Rescue is a local, all-volunteer, non-profit organization specializing in small wildlife such as fawns, rabbits, opossums, raccoons, foxes, and squirrels. Rose Wolf Wildlife Rescue has helped us out several times over the years.
