Pinecrest, CA…A minor injury collision on July 24th was another example of just how safe modern cars are. 30 or 40 years ago this collision would almost certainly have caused major injuries or a fatality. From the Tuolumne Fire Dept…”On July 24 at approximately 8:45 am, TCFD Station 55 Pinecrest Station responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 108 approximately one mile west of Eagle Meadow Road. The lone occupant suffered minor injuries thanks to the airbag deployment.
Also responding to the incident and rendering aid were Colorado state engine 3341, on assignment to the Stanislaus National Forest (STF) and currently housed at Summit Ranger Station, and one patrol from USFS STF, out of Summit.”
