On 11/24/15, a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy investigated a report of a suspected elder abuse case, which occurred earlier in the evening on 11/23/15. The deputy met with the 69 year old victim, who said she was pushed to the ground by her son. As a result of being pushed to the ground, she sustained an injury to her wrist. The victim denied medical attention but was later treated at a local hospital for a fractured wrist.

John Hassay was arrested on the charge 368(b)(1) PC and is currently being held at the Tuolumne County Jail with a bail set at $35,000.
