A 1940’s Christmas Carol at the Met…(Closing Day Don’t Miss It!!)

San Andreas, CA…”A 1940’s Christmas Carol” is a heartwarming story of Emily Cratchit’s struggle to make ends meet while juggling her job at Scrooge’s Munitions Factory, and simultaneously raising her four children alone while her husband is off fighting in WWII. Her unyielding boss, Mr. Scrooge has a hardened heart and is called out by three visiting spirits who encourage him to change his awful ways.

The Ghost of Christmas Past appears in the form of a fair flapper who shows him glimpses of his past to remind him of the person he was in his younger years. The flamboyant Ghost of Christmas Present shows old Scrooge his current effect on the people around him, while the Ghost of Christmas Future appears in a gas mask, silently filling Scrooge with fear for what his grim future may hold if he doesn’t make some changes.

“A 1940’s Christmas Carol” was adapted by Fourth Wall Entertainment’s Artistic Director, Cyndie Klorer, and runs weekends from November 26 – December 19, 2021 at the Metropolitan at 59 Main Street in San Andreas.
