Murphys, CA…On 12-22-15 at about 1720 hours, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call from a male subject reporting that he had just shot his wife. Both the Sheriff’s Department and Angels Camp Police Department responded to an address near Murphys. Two subjects were found deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The case remains under investigation. No other subjects are believed to be involved in the incident and no suspects are outstanding. The identities of the two subjects will remain confidential pending the notification of next of kin.
