Jackson Police Seeking Main Street Vandalism Suspect

Jackson, CA…On Thursday April 21, 2022, the Jackson Police Department took several vandalism reports of broken windows at three locations on Main Street, the Amador County Library, and the Jackson Laundromat. Video surveillance obtained at the library depicted a male subject, wearing a distinctly colored jacket or hoodie and white shoes, throwing a wooden barricade several times at the glass door until it broke.

The video captured the crime at approximately 2:25 am. Minutes later the same subject is observed walking southbound on Main Street where he stopped and picked up a potted plant in front 162 Main Street and used it to break out a window at that location. The subject then most likely continued southbound breaking out windows at Sue’s Shop and Jackson Reality.

Additional video surveillance at other locations, within the area, has been requested and will be analyzed in hopes of identifying the male subject.
The Jackson Police Department encourages anyone who may have witnessed the subject breaking the windows or has knowledge of the subject’s identity to please call (209) 223-1771. You can remain anonymous.
